About this Position

  • This role focuses on the daily operation, maintenance, and technical support of production equipment. It is a key position responsible for ensuring stable equipment performance on the production floor. Positioned as an Equipment Technician, the role works under the guidance of Equipment Engineers to carry out equipment preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, execute standard operation procedures, manage basic equipment data, and support initiatives to improve equipment efficiency and technical performance—ultimately ensuring continuity and safety in production activities. 

What you´ll do

  • Safety Compliance & Quality Management:
    - Strictly follow plant safety and quality operation standards to ensure all production activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
    - Support internal and external audits related to safety and quality to ensure continuous compliance.
  • Daily Equipment Operation & Basic Management:
    - Inspection & Maintenance: Perform routine equipment inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and simple part replacements according to schedule. Report abnormalities in a timely manner and assist in executing preventive maintenance tasks.
    - Troubleshooting: Respond quickly to equipment failures, support engineers during emergency repairs, and record repair details and issue findings.
    - Spare Parts Management: Submit spare-part purchase requests based on inventory standards and assist with spare-part issuance, return, and inventory updates to ensure availability of critical parts.
  • SOP Compliance & Documentation Control:
    - Standardized Work: Execute equipment operations and maintenance strictly according to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and WIs (Work Instructions).
    - Record Keeping: Complete equipment logs, maintenance reports, and inspection checklists to ensure full traceability of equipment history; archive documents regularly in the system.
  • Issue Reporting & Preliminary Analysis:
    - Problem Identification: Collect key information when abnormalities occur (e.g., alarm codes, observed symptoms) and support engineers in root cause analysis (RCA).
    - Improvement Execution: Implement improvement actions defined by engineers (e.g., parameter adjustments, component replacement plans) and provide feedback on results.
  • Systems & Tools Utilization:
    - Digital Tools: Use SAP to check spare-part inventory and equipment history; utilize HPS/TPM systems for maintenance requests and basic work-order processing.
    - Documentation Support: Assist engineers in preparing simplified operation manuals, maintenance checklists, and other documents, ensuring the latest version is available on site.
  • Technical Support & Cross-functional Collaboration:
    - Frontline Support: Provide basic equipment operation guidance to operators and answer simple technical questions. Participate in trials and acceptance of new or modified equipment.
    - Cross-department Collaboration: Coordinate with Production, Quality, and other teams to communicate equipment conditions affecting production and support planned downtime arrangements.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    - On-call Support: Participate in night shift or holiday on-call duties as scheduled to handle urgent equipment issues.
    - Ad-hoc Tasks: Complete other tasks assigned by supervisors (e.g., updating equipment labels, managing tools) to support overall departmental objectives.

What makes you a good fit

  • Education: Technical secondary school, diploma, or above. Majors in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Automation, or related fields preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with daily chemical/cosmetics equipment (e.g., filling machines, emulsifying mixers, labeling machines) is a strong plus.
  • Certifications: Possession of electrician, welding, or other equipment maintenance-related certificates is preferred.
  • Nice to Have: Understanding of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles and experience with on-site improvement proposals.
