What many don’t know: The biggest part of Henkel’s turnover stems from the Adhesive Technologies business – technologies that are used in cars, wind turbines, airplanes or mobile phones, for instance.

Adhesive Technologies

Did you know that 70% of all smartphones worldwide contain adhesives from Henkel?
High-tech products for airplanes or Pritt products for school use: Adhesives have developed into a key technology and have become an integral part of our everyday life: furniture, diapers, wallpapers, packaging – there is a long list of things that wouldn’t be working without them.

We lead today’s and build tomorrow’s markets with our unique portfolio of breakthrough innovations, tailor-made solutions and strong brands in adhesives, sealants and functional coatings.

Beauty Care

Did you know that every second more than 20 hair colorants from Henkel are sold worldwide?
Schwarzkopf, Fa, Syoss: The business unit develops, produces and sells numerous successful high-quality products (hair, body, skin and oral), which are available in 150 countries worldwide. Henkel Beauty Care is active in the Branded Consumer Goods as well as the professional Hair Salon business. Schwarzkopf Professional for instance is among the world’s three leading suppliers of hair salon products.

Laundry & Home Care

Did you know that Henkel sells detergents for around 25 billion wash loads per year?
The Laundry & Home Care business unit is the cornerstone of Henkel’s success story: The company’s first product was a laundry detergent based on sodium silicate, named “Universal-Waschmittel” (universal detergent).

Since then, this branded consumer goods business has grown into a globally active unit with well-known brands, such as Persil, Purex or Pril. For consumers around the world, our brand names have become an integral part of their daily lives.

Innovations are a key to our business success: Welcome to the inventor of the first self-acting detergent, the first roll-on deodorant, the first glue stick. Each day, we apply our creativity, courage and curiosity to strive towards a single, simple and grand vision: to establish Henkel as the leading company in brands and technologies worldwide.

The key to our success

Our capacity to innovate is of vital strategic importance. It is the basis of our commercial success. Over the last three years, about one third of our revenue has been generated through new products and technologies. In this way, we are able to witness the developing future for our business and are able to generate value for our industrial and commercial customers, our end-users and our employees.

If you look at top brands such as Loctite (industry and retail) and Schwarzkopf (consumer) or Persil – every product was created with extensive knowledge and innovative technologies.
