Henkel X Women Helping Women Association

Meaningful corporate social responsibility activities are driven by a commitment to creating direct, purposeful impact within the communities we serve. Rooted in the spirit of generosity and giving back that defines the Eid seasons, Henkel Consumer Brands GCC collaborated with the Women Helping Women association to deliver essential products directly to female worker communities across Dubai.

Direct impact where it matters most

Spanning across both Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha, the ladies from the Henkel Consumer Brands GCC team volunteered in a first-of-its-kind CSR initiative alongside Women Helping Women, which is a dedicated volunteer-driven association committed to uplifting and empowering the female worker population in the UAE. Because the values of generosity, caring, and giving back are deeply anchored more during these seasons, the initiative focused on bringing support and care at a time of spiritual celebration. This marks the first time an international brand has provided this scale of direct product support to female worker communities across Dubai.

The activation involved the direct distribution of beauty and hygiene care sets by the team to women living in local worker accommodations. To address immediate personal and household needs, the packages were stocked with products from across the Henkel Consumer Brands portfolio, including DAC floor cleaner, Persil gel, Palette hair color, Pert shampoo and Fa bodywash to name a few.

We wanted to support these hardworking women in a simple but meaningful way. By providing everyday care products, we hope to make their daily lives a little easier while showing our appreciation for everything they do for our community.

An intentional and purposeful gesture

Rather than treating the campaign as a standard seasonal handout, Henkel proposed the initiative as an intentional and purposeful gesture of community support. Utilizing Women Helping Women’s essential on-the-ground network allowed Henkel to stay highly agile and deliver local community assistance at the times it mattered most.

Notably, despite recent regional situations placing obvious pressure on logistics, the team successfully secured and distributed stocks for thousands of donations without interruption. Delivering trusted brands directly to these communities offers tangible value, proving that CSR initiatives are most effective when they are driven by agile, meaningful action.
