The Physical Security summer intern will work with the Corporate Security team in safeguarding company personnel, assets, and facilities. This role provides firsthand experience in physical security operations, risk analysis, and incident management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with security tools, systems, and risk databases used to assess threats and vulnerabilities across the organization.

What you’ll do

Risk & Threat Analysis 

  • Utilize risk databases (e.g., intelligence platforms, threat monitoring tools, crime data repositories) to gather and analyze emerging risks, trends, and threats.
  • Contribute to maintaining internal risk dashboards and reporting tools.

Technology & Systems Experience

  • Learn and engage with security technologies such as electronic access control, video management systems, and intrusion detection platforms.
  • Participate in quality checks and updates within security applications and risk tools.

Physical Security Operations 

  • Assist in security assessments across multiple sites, including access control, alarm systems, perimeter security, and visitor management.
  • Assist with daily tasks related to access badge administration, incident reporting, and audit preparation.
  • Collaborate with manager on site‑specific initiatives and upgrades.

Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare presentations, metrics, and reports for project updates and leadership reviews.
  • Assist in documenting site visits and assessment findings.

  • A rising senior graduating in 2027 studying security management, corporate security, and other similar studies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Such as Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Team player, proactive and eager to learn 
  • Strong interest in project management with ability to work with large data sets, extract insights, and make actionable recommendations

Additional information

  • This internship is NOT eligible for a housing stipend or relocation support.
  • Henkel’s Summer 2026 internship program starts on May 27th, 2026, and runs through mid-August. 
  • Recruitment for our 2026 internships starts in late August 2025 and runs through early March 2026 or until all our positions are filled.

The salary for this role is $22-$27/hour. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
