The Metylan brand was founded in Germany 1953 as a convenient powder based wallpaper paste for professional users: Metylan Leim.

Metylan evolved into a leading international brand for wallpaper pastes, for both craftsmen and DIY users. A range of new wallpaper pastes called: `Metylan Normal´ and `Metylan Special´ were developed to suit all kinds of wallpapers.
