YOUR ROLE

  • Process control of chemical management systems at an automotive OEM.
  • Statistical process control with chart reporting
  • Trouble shooting with 5D or 8D reporting.
  • Stock control – managing stock levels, expiry dates, COA’s and FIFO supply to the line.
  • Verify incoming quality of sealer by doing a physical check, check viscosity and loaf test.
  • Stock orders of CSM and sales materials.
  • Receiving and capturing of all stock received at ford.
  • Manage stock level of lab reagents, lab equipment, PPE and office stationary.
  • Quality systems management.
  • Adherence to automotive ISO operating standards and SHE standards.
  • Process and Facility reporting to Ford and Henkel teams including management.
  • Process improvements and optimisation to increase profitability and operator applications.
  • Report out system readiness, issues and/or delays to Ford production personnel on duty.
  • Root cause analysis with a report is required of all issues, losses and/or delays.
  • Attend and report at all production and maintenance related meetings.

  • Assist operators to resolve start up issues as and when required to prevent down time.

  • Check sealer pump levels, sealer expiry date and operational status of trim line sealer.

  • Check sealer pump levels, sealer expiry date and operational status of all body shop sealers.

  • Maintain 5S standard a work station, lab and in office.

YOUR SKILLS

  • University degree in engineering (Chemical, Analytical)
  • Must have basic chemical engineering knowledge to understand how the facility operates – heat transfer systems, fluid flow, pumps, valves, energy efficiency, RO water systems.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate including proficiency in Microsoft office programs.
