What we offer

  • Grow AS market share in Gauteng region with new opportunities at existing customers and securing new business opportunities at new customers.
  • Provide a support service to existing AS customer base within the Gauteng Region.
  • Establish customer call plans and conduct market analysis for AS in Gauteng region.
  • Establish mutually beneficial relationships with customers and ensure key customer personnel are identified.
  • Conduct line trials and technology presentation where necessary.
  • Provide monthly reports recording business status in prescribed format.

Who we are looking for

Skills and competencies:        

The applicant must have experience in: 

  • dealing with automotive customers
  • solving problems at product application / process level
  • selling ideas / concepts / products to automotive customers       
  • handling commercial aspects of the account (pricing / debtors)
  • dealing with difficult customer situations

Requirements:

The applicant Must:

  • have a degree or diploma in chemical engineering and suitable commercial qualification.
  • have at least 4 years’ experience in technical sales position in an automotive process environment
  • be able to work independently and without direct supervision.
  • have good technical, commercial and people skills.
  • have gained sufficient experience in technical sales & marketing within Henkel’s Automotive
  • customer base that covers technologies such as adhesives & sealants, paint systems, Ecoat systems, phosphate lines, metal processing press shops, corrosion protective oils, etc.
  • have knowledge of unit processing from body shop, paint shop, trim shop and have knowledge of the various types of components manufactured for the OEM Industry
  • have good communication skills and be able to communicate at all levels.
  • be able to deal with sensitive supplier customer relationships and negotiations.   
  • be able to manage projects to their logical conclusion.
  • have good report writing & presentation skills.
  • be able to work within a team relationship with Henkel and customer personnel.
  • be available to service customer production hours if so required.
  • have good diagnostic and trouble shooting skills.
  • Be computer literate with sound ability to use common business software applications.
