YOUR ROLE

  • Acting as the technical lead for the development of packaging innovations for the consumer adhesive market.
  • Laboratory testing for packaging and technology related projects, with internal and external partners.
  • Maintenance of records and reports of all work programs and presentation of results to stakeholders when required.
  • Managing supplier partnerships and projects with external design collaborators.
  • Scouting for new packaging materials and technologies for potential use by Henkel.
  • Working in close collaboration with all internal stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Acting in compliance with both the legal requirement and the Henkel and Adhesives requirements resulting from the SHEQ policies, standards and procedures and code of conduct for the functions performed.

YOUR SKILLS

  • Degree or equivalent in Industrial / Innovation / Product Design Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in a packaging science & technology related role and/or experience in packaging sustainability an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes for packaging, especially cardboards/corrugated/non-plastic pack materials.
  • Open minded and motivated individual with desire to learn.
  • Experience in the use of Solidworks or similar.
  • Strong IT skills; familiarity with Microsoft Packages.
  • An enthusiastic drive for sustainability – with a keen interest in new packaging materials.
