YOUR ROLE
- The Production Team Lead is responsible for executing production in the safest and most efficient manner possible for the manufacturing of products in a quality standard that meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations reporting to the Supervisor.
- Provides departmental direction and run the shift in the absence of supervisor and optimize the use of equipment, the process and resources.
- To lead and train the team under the guidance of the supervisor and ensure safe working by the team.
- The team lead will be the second in command to the production supervisor and assume production supervisors' responsibility when needed.
YOUR SKILLS
- Planning, Leading, Organizing and control skills. Stock control / MRP processes.
- Assertiveness and decision-making Skills.
- Conflict resolution skills.
- Be a team player and lead others
- Monitor and optimize process parameters
- Optimization of use of equipment.
- Practice EHS requirements and ensure all relevant procedures are followed.
- Identify, control and enforce correct PPE requirements and usage
- Perform troubleshooting in the plant
- Maintains a professional, team-player attitude,
- Human Resource Management and Leadership skills.
- Tactical and analytical problem solving.
- Production planning and scheduling
- Driving production key performance indicators such as OEE, SA & CCDB
- Education and Qualifications: National Diploma (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial & Chemistry) FET Level N4
