YOUR ROLE
- You have a business building role internally and externally by translating your category expertise in a smart and successful category strategy.
- You develop, implement and monitor assortment and shelf strategy for the assigned categories and key retailers.
- You analyze the category/market and its trends and look for opportunities to grow.
- You develop, implement and monitor growth plans, based on consumer, shopper & retailer insights.
- You ensure the best possible listings & support plan for Henkel Consumer Brand innovations.
- You act independently and pro-actively within the organization and work closely together with sales and marketing.
- The successful implementation of our perfect portfolio strategy including innovation pipeline is a key contributor to success and is one of the key focus points.
YOUR SKILLS
- Fluent in French or Dutch and English.
- Academic degree (Economics, Business administration).
- Relevant experience (2-3 years preferred) within FMCG in Category Management, Sales or Marketing, with a proven track record of commercial results.
- Detailed oriented while not missing the bigger picture.
- Team player who thinks in terms of solutions, feels full responsibility for the outcome of his/her job.
- Analytical skills – the Category Manager must be able to perform data driven market analyses, as well as determine basic analyses required to support shelf proposals (e.g., define category / shelf opportunities, collect data, identify issues and present results).
- Computer skills – advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required. Specific software (as SpaceMan) and knowledge in Market Research tools such as Nielsen, GFK SIV is a plus.
